Mental health awareness week is from May 18th through May 24th.
Mental health is very important, our brains control everything we do. In the past, we have not been aware of how important mental health is, but we have come a long way. We still have far to go.
Taking care of your mental health is very important.
I have struggle with anxiety and depression my whole life. I have come a very long way, and I am doing well!
I have had cognitive therapy, read books, and taken medication. I have really worked on my outlook on life, my thoughts, and what I tell myself in my self conscious voice. I have changed how I react to others, and not take things personally. I don’t let certain things affect me. I have learned that I choose my thoughts, and feelings. I stay active, exercise, and practice self care. I balance my time so that I can enjoy the things I love in life. I overcame anxiety and depression! I kicked its butt! As I have aged, I have come a long way in recovering from anxiety and depression. There defiantly is hope, get help! <3
Sometimes anxiety and depression is from out thoughts and how we cope, and sometimes it is biochemical or a combination of both. It is beneficial to seek help of a counselor to find out what is really going on. They are trained professionals.
We definitely need more mental health education as a society!
There is help out there, get it, and live your fullest life!!! You can overcome!
