Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Martin Luther King Jr. is one of my favorite influential heroes. The way he advocated and advanced civil rights is remarkable. His speeches, boycotts, and acts lead to the end of segregation. I am so glad I did not have to grow up in this era of ignorance and racism. We are all humans and created equal. We all deserve the same rights, and opportunities.

Hypocritical much of America? This contradicts the bases of what America was founded on. I’m glad this bigotry and ignorance has come to an end in this regard. We can learn from other cultures, and expand our mind, interests and experiences. It is a great thing to have rich experience from differences. I love diversity. America is supposed to be the melting pot, where everyone is created equal, and the land of opportunity, for everyone, regardless of their race, age, sex, or religion. The home of the free and brave. “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.” ~Emma Lazarus

For my senior year of High School, I wrote a paper on him and got an A+. His speeches are so awesome and powerful.

He fought with passivism, and told his people to not fight back physically, and organized civil disobedience without aggression. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was powerful and wise. His quotes are very inspiring. He was very wise.

I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear. Dr. martin Luther King, Jr.

Hate doesn’t accomplish anything.

Actions speak louder than words.

Your beliefs don’t make you a better person, your behavior does.

Don’t let what you say and what you do be two different things.

Integrity is what you do when no one is looking.

Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do. _ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.jpg

Apply what you know, and use your gifts and talents. Apply yourself.

Help people.

Always remember to have boundaries and balance. Do not wear yourself out! 🙂

Achieve more. You can achieve more than you think.

Remember to make the most out of what you have.

“Life is not a matter of holding good cards, but of playing a poor hand well.” ~ Robert Louis Stevenson

I love this quote. This quote reminds me that I do not need perfect circumstances in order to achieve my dreams.

You don’t need a certain amount of money to be happy. You don’t need to have perfected skills to get that job, with time comes progress. Keep going, and you will get better.

Do not let things keep you back just because your circumstances aren’t as good as you’d like.  Take the first step. Think you don’t have time for school? Make time, and go part time.

Remember the days of the Great Depression in the 30’s? These people made the most out of what they had. I learned this because my Great Grandma lived until she was 97.

Don’t use excuses from the past. Just keep moving forward. Do not let anything get in your way!

Make the most of what you have now. Do not wait until you have that new car, have enough, or have enough time. You will run out of time with that kind of mindset.
