Martin Luther King Jr. is one of my favorite influential heroes. The way he advocated and advanced civil rights is remarkable. His speeches, boycotts, and acts lead to the end of segregation. I am so glad I did not have to grow up in this era of ignorance and racism. We are all humans and created equal. We all deserve the same rights, and opportunities.
Hypocritical much of America? This contradicts the bases of what America was founded on. I’m glad this bigotry and ignorance has come to an end in this regard. We can learn from other cultures, and expand our mind, interests and experiences. It is a great thing to have rich experience from differences. I love diversity. America is supposed to be the melting pot, where everyone is created equal, and the land of opportunity, for everyone, regardless of their race, age, sex, or religion. The home of the free and brave. “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.” ~Emma Lazarus
For my senior year of High School, I wrote a paper on him and got an A+. His speeches are so awesome and powerful.
He fought with passivism, and told his people to not fight back physically, and organized civil disobedience without aggression. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was powerful and wise. His quotes are very inspiring. He was very wise.
Hate doesn’t accomplish anything.
